Gyllenhaal does intensity like few other actors, with a role that covers everything from genuinely motivational speeches to disturbingly perceptive and socially inappropriate awkward-fests. I love the gritty feel of everything.

A down and out thief discovers a new way of making money and his interest in his career choice is paramount to his success. The film does have a very seedy feel to it, so I can understand some people not getting into it, but if you like it after 5-10 minutes, it will definitely be worth watching. If you're a successful person and see a lot of yourself in Bloom, you might wanna rethink the way you be livin'.

This film is very watchable despite the main character being an absolutely dreadful excuse for a human being. He doesn't care about anyone nor does he possess any kind of ethics.
