Back to the Future Synopsis: In this 1980s sci-fi classic, small-town California teen Marty McFly (Michael J. Read Script Back to the Future (1985) Written byBob Gale and Robert Zemeckis. studies the Power Converter itself. We hear Eileen screaming! It’s locked. Noon. Biff hits the ground---out cold! He turns his head, and there in front of him is I'm paying the fuel bill. The Time Machine has been loaded into the bed of an Army Truck, and the Professor has been welding sheet lead into a large Philco Refrigerator.

He runs his hand across the desktop. I built this machine to see the future.

I'm a little worried about this---this whole thing with my mother. Don't tell me! And if you don't go through with this, she may never be. Brown isn’t sure whether to believe him. He had to! He’s 30 years older than when we last saw him...but he seems a little different from the eccentric Professor we knew earlier. Doc: But only my name is erased! I've been in this business my whole life and I know what people want. As he told Collider, the script would have been more in line with science-fiction films like Back to the Future than a traditional superhero movie.

Hey, man, the dance is over...unless you can find somebody who can play the guitar. Students pour out of classes into the hall, including Mr. Arky’s science students. Eileen, Madge, and some other girls are sitting at a table. Now you stay here and don't do anything. Out the window we see only blue sky and clouds. with purple radioactivity emblems labeled: EXTREME DANGER! Professor, you time machine works! compares this to the business card: the dates are the same. You always thought George was cute because he was so shy. He can’t resist showing off---he manuevers smoothly through the obstacles, jumps over the last one and lands perfectly on the board, then hops off, flipping the board into the air and catching it. Sure was a long time ago---longest I've ever had to wait for the results of an experiment! He checks the floor of the truck, under the seat...nothing! In the 1984 script, Doc's response was simply "That's a good one! An ELDERLY MAN is hunched over an experiment on one side of the lab. Marty, wearing headphones, is playing his Electric Guitar along with a record on his stereo. I would have called the police. Biff and the gang jump into a convertible parked nearby. At the side door, REGINALD WASHINGTON is smoking a reefer. Right here, go ahead. In the shop. George stands.

Marty starts gyrating himself, jumping around like Little Richard! He’s not brittle and old, but energetic and lively. Professor...if something does go wrong tonight...if I don't get my parents back together...when do you think I'd cease to exist? Marty isn’t happy to see Biff, and the feeling is mutual. Bum: Crazy drunk drivers. Marty takes an old-fashioned drip coffee pot out of a cabinet. I've always wondered whether they slept together before they got married. Professor Brown goes to the motorcycle. So first think in the morning, I'll go to the University, see what I can find out. Now Professor Brown unlocks a door at one end of the room and puts on a light. Are you trying to tell me that this---all of this here---that this is---it's a---a--- Stabilization coefficient, .43. But I'm just not interested in a position with this little X-rox corporation. Good luck. Marty has a look on his face---the look of an idea. George, she's beautiful, right? I decided that experimenting with time and possibly changing history was too risky. GEORGE is on the sidelines, bopping out of time to the music. Listen, A-hole, it's about time I taught you a lesson. Freak? There will be an intense white fireball that will recede into a bright yellow glow, accompanied by an intense shock wave... Did you ever consider that some doors are locked for a reason? Something is bothering Marty about this so he goes in. SHEMP is sitting quietly on a stool directly under the focusing lens of the Professor’s invention. Behind Biff is his usual entourage. Do you realize what that means? Marty and the Professor exchange a look of relief, and they head out onto the nuclear test site! Marty makes himself a target. Marty takes an apple, has a bite, and returns to the living room.

The Professor ponders the discovery, then gathers up the Power Converter and goes to the Locked Door. Marty approaches the doorway. He’s well dressed, less eccentric in manner, and seems much more self confident than his older self. You’d better make sure your old man asks her out, because if he doesn't, they may never have a first date. You're the only Mr. Lewis in this class. Professor Brown looks at Marty who is still trying to twist off the Coke bottle. I may not pay much attention to the measurement of time, but I'm very aware of Time itself.
