A boy obsessed with 50s sci-fi movies about aliens has a recurring dream about a blueprint of some kind, which he draws for his inventor friend. When the Hendersons accidentally run over a strange Bigfoot-type animal, they decide to take the friendly "Harry" home and adopt him as a pet. After a car chase involving a garbage truck, George (albeit inadvertently) saves Harry from LaFleur, who is arrested.
