Get hard is a comedy starring Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart. If the movie didn't have him, it won't be as funny. The story was very weak In the beginning but as you get to main point of the whole movie, it picks up and gets funny. Now I don't very like Kevin Hart, I like his stand up but his movies just aren't that funny to me, but I will say he was actually very funny in this. It confuses being shocking and obnoxious with being edgy. Desperate, he turns to Darnell (Kevin Hart) to prep him for a life behind bars. The film should have been much better, but like most of the modern comedies, this fails to showcase a reason for existing. First off, Will Ferrell is amazing, he is always funny. Hedge fund manager James (Ferrell) is nailed for fraud and bound for a stretch in San Quentin. There are some chuckles to be had here, because with such gifted and reliable talent that's pretty much a given. Unfortunately, too often in Get Hard, it's not. But despite James’ one-percenter assumptions, Darnell is a hard-working small business owner who has never received a parking ticket, let alone been to prison.
