Chopra as producer made this film not just ahead of its time but ahead of what storytelling we wouldn't be seeing in our Indian Cinema for years. This makes the suspense even greater. A lawyer holds the eyewitness evidence to catch a killer, but the identified criminal is the lawyer's own mentor, prospective father-in-law, and also the judge who presides over the case. He demands an explanation from Rekha about the body, but they can't find it where it was before.

His attention to detail is quite impressive throughout (although there's a slight lack of it at times), and the film is enjoyably tense, chilling and suspenseful.

Was this review helpful? The script is well-written and taut, and Chopra's direction is very good. Very good story. Taking place almost entirely over the course of one stormy night, a woman is terrified when an accused murderer escapes from a mental hospital and seeks refuge in her home. And after watching it I can say that I liked the film a lot. A courtroom drama ensues. They find a large mansion whose butler is expecting them. The film is very hatke, Produced by BR Films who wanted to make a quickie as their big budget film was shelved and must say it paid off as the film did quite well In the days when films were known for their song and dance such a film was rare The film is a remake of SIGNPOST OF MURDER but it's well handled, The film starts directly to the point, with Rajesh Khanna blamed for his wife's murder and sent to mental assylm and keeps you on the edge. Dilip Roy is a painter who is accused of killing his wife during the court judgment the judge finds him insane and orders to put him in mental hospital.On a stormy night Dilip runs from the hospital and takes shelter in the house of a lonely woman Rekha whose husband Jagmohan is out of the house most of the time,Dilip takes Rekha at the gun point and asks her to be quiet and not to tell anyone about him.Dilip and Rekha find that they both are disturb in life and share their feelings.Rekha tries to escape from the house after putting Dilip to sleep,Dilip sleep breaks and he tries to find Rekha in the house to his surprise he finds the dead body of Jagmohan in the bathroom but Rekha denies any such thing and tells him it was just his assumption,The mystery revolves weather Dilip really killed his wife and is Jagmohan dead.
