I understand the film was nominated for three Academy Awards including the music which I must comment was outstanding and well suited to the style of the lyrical aspect the film has with classical as well as folk/blues and the use of powerful silences that highlight some of the haunting images that Pasolini so economically presents that Hollywood, with all its riches, could never come as close to present so well, so simply.
