I really like Chris Pine and think he's a good actor and Kenneth Branagh is really good too, and he directed it, but somehow they didn't pull it off. Pine is fine as is Costner and Branaugh. The action scenes are well done and the effects used are all of a good standard meaning that this does not feel like a cheaply put together film and instead feels like something that had real hope placed in it by the studio.
