Interview: Brian Blade - Blue Note Records February 5, 2013 After 43 years, saxophonist Wayne Shorter has returned to the Blue Note roster. Sometimes I write and suddenly I’m hearing words, and I just let it unfold. I want the music to project that kind of togetherness. We’re hopefully going to make another record of that trio. I was so glad to have the challenge of playing standards.
