Seasons of Giving

The music in these segments is awful--super-corny & schmaltzy (even for me!) She announces that she's going to go outside. Kessie tells Rabbit that Owl is going to teach her how to fly. The main theme of Winnie the Pooh: Seasons of Giving. When Roo sets off on his own into the Hundred Acre Wood, he discovers a friendly and playful Heffalump named Lumpy. The characters are still likable, who doesn't love Tigger, the writing is droll with many touches of charm and poignancy and the storytelling is simple, beautifully paced and still has the childhood innocence I associate Winnie the Pooh with.

Rabbit and Kessie hug, and Kessie wishes Rabbit a Merry Christmas, ending the film. Now that Kessie can fly, she plans on going south the next day. In the fall, Rabbit is reading Kessie a story about a princess and a knight. Kessie and Owl arrive, and Kessie and Rabbit hug. When Piglet comes up missing his Hundred Acre Wood friends use Piglet's own Book of Memories to find him, discovering along the way just how big a role he's played in their lives. It included A Winnie the Pooh Thanksgiving, and one episodes from The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (Groundpiglet Day) and (Mickey's Christmas Carol). "Seasons of Giving" is the main opening theme of Winnie the Pooh: Seasons of Giving. Tigger goes looking through the hundred-acre-wood to find his family. The stories are well-written and performed, but the animation isn't very good.

There is also a different voice for Piglet in some segments that's a poor match for Piglet's usual voice. He rushes to say goodbye to Kessie, but finds he's too late and she is gone. They look down below them to see Rabbit sitting by another tree.

Seasons of Giving is the brand new generosity resource from Stewardship, for small groups and churches. It has three versions, one for introducing each season. Mixed review for this one - three holiday-theme stories (possibly from the TV show *The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh*) patched together. When Kessie is about to take off, Rabbit arrives, and stops her.

When Christopher Robin writes a letter to Santa and forgets to add what Pooh wanted for Christmas, Pooh tries to get the letter back, and subsequently redeliver the letter to the North Pole. When Thanksgiving arrives, Pooh is at his house when A month later, on Christmas Eve, everyone except Christopher Robin and Gopher are at Rabbit's house decorating. What I really object to is the fluffy stuff that ties the three stories together.
