NHL 2K6 features all of the gameplay modes from the current versions just like 2K Sports' other title, NBA 2K6.

If you're looking for a hockey game this season, drop the extra $10 and go with EA's HNL 2006. There are some fundamental flaws in design for roster management, not to mention some outright bugs. Too often, a game like 2006 is all about the run and gun which was all fine and dandy when I was like 12 years old, but I find I have more use for a thinking man's game in my relative old age and that's why I prefer 2K6.
