There are some realities of nature that might be hard for little ones, particularly the death of one of the mother lions. Its a little dark for young kids. Honestly, the Disney name is what turned me off. This documentary by DisneyNature is nothing short of magnificent. I loved this film on African Cats. We both enjoyed this one, but I think I had more fun because I got to eat all the popcorn. Welcome to the World of African Cats. One male and full-sibling female African black-footed cat developed vision … Be prepared to answer a lot of questions like "What happened to the babies?" Tools to Survival: African Cat Adaptations. Cats are among the most feared and revered creatures on the planet. I thought it would be too sappy, unnatural, and couldn't compete with BBC Earth. Ex. I had never purchased, or seen, a Disneynature production.

Otherwise, I gave it all 5 stars. Come face-to-face with the untamed African lions of the savanna.

How the team filmed the animals in their natural habitat without interfering when the animals were in danger or distressed is incredible.

One is the life of a mother cheetah and the experiences of motherhood to protect and raise them and the other is story of older lioness who has one single cub and how she bravely struggles to protect her. Lions and cheetahs are beautiful creatures. I wont spoil the surprise but you will love it I am sure. TOTAL MUST ! Samuel Jackson does outstanding job narrating the events and really gives you insight personality of the animals and what is going on and why which made it extra enjoyable.
