But I might have just misread it. Because Gorillas simply just don't give a fuck that's why.IIRC, in the preface to 3001 Clarke says something to the effect of "I didn't want to write this book, but I couldn't refuse the check the publishing company gave me. Clarke wrote 2001 before Kubrick ever came on the scene, don't judge Clarkes' work by Kubricks'. Clarke even wrote a forward in later printings of 2001 distancing himself from the 2001 film project.I pretty much agree. By Ryan Leston 4th November 2014 3001: The Final Odyssey has already been picked up by the Syfy channel, and promises a long-awaited follow up to the classic Kubrick sci-fi film. In fact, I have yet to read a bad Clarke book (Rama series for example)Oh ok.

But are 2010 and the other two books worth watching/reading?3001 is pretty freaky weird. Its been a long time, but I remember all 3 sequel books being very good. The other 2 books, 2061 and 3001 are also great reads. But worth reading.Makes sense haha. Fantasy stuff like Tolkien and Game of Thrones. Fantasy too.

After some quick internet research I found that there's 3 books (the first of which I think was written with Kubrick and written alongside the film, the others I don't know) and a sequel, but wasn't directed by Kubrick. et des millions de livres en stock sur Amazon.fr.
